A new study using the results of the 2003-2008 National Health and Nutrition Examination Surveys (NHANES)revealed to researchers that people who consume grape products also consume more of the following:

  • calcium
  • dietary fiber
  • magnesium
  • potassium
  • vitamin A
  • vitamin C

Grape products includes things like grapes, raisins and 100% grape juice.

Calcium, dietary fiber, and potassium are all essentials that the general American diet lacks. People who eat more grapes are getting all of these essentials, plus consuming less unhealthy foods like solid fats and added sugars, lowering their risk of heart disease and Type II Diabetes.

The NHANES consists of results taken from 21,800 children and adults.

It is important for fibromyalgia patients to eat less chemicals and to consume essential vitamins and fiber. Enjoy grapes!
