To reduce abdominal fat, try adding canola oil and high-oleic canola oils rather than other oil blends. A reduction in abdominal fat and the consumption of certain vegetable oils may be a way to reduce the chances of metabolic syndrome.

Metabolic syndrome is defined as, “A cluster of metabolic risk factors.” It relates to heart disease and Type II diabetes.
