But don’t just limit oatmeal to breakfast. A smaller portion of the hearty stuff makes a great snack.
Just remember not to sabotage your healthy bowl by adding things like butter and excess sugar. If you need to sweeten your oatmeal, use organic maple syrup or organic honey. A little goes a long way with those sweeteners plus they lend a decadent flavor without harmful chemicals. Add in a banana or some blueberries and you’ve got a real treat!
You can also use almond milk or water and measure portions to cut down on calories.
