That’s right we FLAIRED, not FLARED. (Hey, come on… Shakespeare made up a lot of words, too!)
Furthermore, Fibro Warrior of the Week is excelling in a way I never imagined possible so I just want to make sure to thank you all for reading, commenting, and spreading the word. And to our first year of Fibro Warrior interviewees, thanks so much for the interviews! Your wisdom, advice, and willingness to share your stories means so much to the Fibromyalgia community. As our last 2013 Fibro Warrior of the Week Annette L. Jackson said, “I have dedicated the rest of my life to FIBRO AWARENESS. I may move at a snail’s pace, but I will never quit. FMS AWARENESS NOW.”
That’s what it’s all about!
Yes, in some way or another every Fibro Warrior —whether interviewed for the column or not— does his or her best to deal with a disease that receives an underwhelming amount of support from not only the general public, but the medical community. We strive to promote awareness and each other because we’ve learned the hard way that right now, we’re the best support we’ve got. Truly, the Fibro Community has become its own best resource for information, comfort, humor, and all kinds of support. Earlier this year, Fibro Warrior of the Week #21 Simenona Martinez reminded us that, “Some Where I Belong…”
Indeed. We all belong together.
Here’s to 2014 being the best that it can for us all as individuals and as part of the vital Fibro Warrior Collective. Check in next week for our Fibro Warrior of the Week #45, Amanda Garcea! Have a safe and happy New Year celebration!
All the Best,
