Anti-Neck Pain Pillow Tips

Neck pain is common in fibromyalgia and it often occurs upon waking. How a person sleeps affects how he or she feels pain-wise.

Therefore, taking precautions against pain only makes sense. This means a renovation of the pillow, so to speak:

  • Choose a soft pillow.
  • If the pillow is too flat, get a higher one or prop it up under the neck.
  • Change your pillow annually.
  • Try a memory foam pillow that shapes to your shape.
  • When traveling in planes, trains, or as a car passenger, use a horseshoe-shaped travel pillow to support your neck.
