Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and fibromyalgia are often connected.

Patients that suffer from the pain of CFS describe it as a deep muscle and joint pain.

CFS patients also suffer from a lack a sleep.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers the following tips to help reduce these symptoms:

  • Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain relief.
  • Do gentle stretching.
  • Consult a pain management specialist, if possible.
  • Use gentle massage, heat therapy and relaxation techniques.

Pain does come from tension, and that’s why many of the tips focus on pleasurable aspects of treatment.

Relaxation techniques make great pain cures.
