Men with fibromyalgia receive little attention.
It’s a sad state of affairs all around. Fibromyalgia patients in general do not get adequate publicity or acknowledgment; male fibro patients receive almost nil. Many men who suffer fibromyalgia don’t even receive a proper diagnosis because many doctors never think of men having fibromyalgia.
A good place for men to start understanding fibromyalgia is by looking at the Arthritis Foundation’s website info/archives about fibromyalgia. Their website will also explain how to find helpful resources, including a knowledgable doctor. (www.arthritis.org)
In the mean time, enjoy some fibrotoons from the men’s fibromyalgia page. It helps to laugh, and to know that other men with fibromyalgia are out there.
