A new study has revealed an interesting possible cause for Fibro pain in at least some people. The study was done at Massachusetts General Hospital’s neurology department and it looked at nerve biopsies done on Fibro patients. The biopsies showed that 41% of the patients studied had a peripheral nerve condition known as small-fiber polyneuropathy, and this could explain the pain experienced by that set of patients.
This article explains the study in more detail. It was a small study with just 27 participants, but it definitely raised interesting questions and the results warrant further research.
