High Rate of Lupus Cases Near Uranium Plant

Researchers found that people living near a uranium plant have a 5-fold risk of developing systemic lupus erythematosus.

This study took place in Fernald Community Cohort, in Ohio.

Lupus and fibromyalgia are often mistaken for each other during the diagnostic process. It appears that lupus makes a patient more prone to fibromyalgia, too.
