Modified Rheumatology Criteria Can Diagnose Fibromyalgia

A new study published in the Journal of Rheumatology was conducted to determine the specificity and sensitivity of the Modified 2010 American College of Rheumatology (ACR) as a diagnostic criteria for fibromyalgia. The study concluded that the criteria was an effective primary-care tool for diagnosing patients fibromyalgia, and it determined the specificity for the test to be 89.5% and sensitivity to be 90.2%. The study was based on the questionaires completed by 451 subjects.
