Steroid Injections Raise Fracture Risk

Very recently, steroid injections to the spine caused a deadly fungal meningitis outbreak across America. Now, proof that the injections also increase the risk of fractures is coming out.

Specifically, spinal bone fractures. This goes for all such injections, not just the one involved in the fungal meningitis outbreak.

The research was presented at the North American Spine Society’s annual meeting in Dallas.
