Hip and knee replacements do help ease pain and regain mobility, but a new study says they fail to help people lose weight.
Kaiser Permanente’s Maria Inacio, a doctoral candidate at San Diego State University, and colleagues reviewed 12 previous studies on the subject.
The Clinical Orthopaedics and Related Research journal recently republished the study.
