U.S. Insomnia Linked to $31 B in Work Errors

274,000 workplace accidents and errors have been linked to insomnia every year. Even more staggering, these insomnia induced mistakes cost the United States $31 billion every year as well.

The problem with this link, though, is that it derives from a study that interviewed some workers suffering from hazy memories to detail what occurred to them over the last year at work. It also doesn’t account much for other factors that contribute to workplace problems.

Still, it seems that insomnia is causing problems all around, even for studies.
