Now that the holidays are over, some of you may be putting off the inevitable holiday cleaning phase that we all must face: taking down the tree and lights; packing away Christmas miniatures.
Add fibromyalgia to this stressful phase and it becomes doubly difficult to put away Christmas.
The best advice: split up the duties among family. If you live alone, break the duties down into different days. Do not stress out about finishing all in one day. Remember, no one is going to judge you on how quickly you take down the tree.
So write down then divide the duties, then write down what you need to do first. Before each chore that you tackle, gather the necessary items: step ladder, boxes, broom. This will cut down on fibro-fog and fatigue.
These types of chores are tiring, but can be conquered with planning and patience to help ease fibromyalgia issues.
