Toxic people affect chronic illnesses, making your fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue or whatever feel even more toxic.
Sometimes, in order to stay healthy and feel better, it’s necessary to make changes in who you allow to be a part of your life.
However, before you make any drastic changes like that, consider if the person commands the ability to change. Sometimes, things can be cleared up with a straightforward yet gentle conversation about wanting to surround yourself with more positivity. If you don’t think this person can do this or they refuse to acknowledge a problem, then you’ll have to let them go. Whether that’s a final cut or just a severely reduced cut is up to you. You might feel fine messaging them on Facebook every three months or so while blocking their updates. You may prefer to not answer their calls at all.
That’s up to you because it’s your life. Feel better.
