The fibromyalgia emergency kit idea comes from Sarakastic of the Fibromyalgia Experiment blog.
So keeping a kit by the bed or close by the couch (if you are moving around and hit by a sudden flare) is a good idea. Make the kit big enough to keep a blanket, water bottle, meds, snacks, socks, and some reading material inside of it. You might also want to put your laptop, iPad, or phone charger in it if you normally keep those items around you.
Also, it couldn’t hurt to have movies ready to go. Set up an iTunes or Netflix account, or make sure there’s a way to order them on TV if you feel like you might be in for the long haul but can’t sleep.
Assembling things you will want after suddenly being taken ill is a great way to avoid fibro fog confusion and increased pain caused by stress.
