Less Sleep for Better Sleep

Fibro Daily February 16, 2013

If you find yourself struggling with fibro-related sleep problems, then limit the amount of time you spend in bed.

Sleeping for the amount of time you can actually sleep will help you feel better and less irritated. But laying in bed waiting to sleep creates stress.

Therefore, get up and do something:

  • watch TV
  • read
  • have sex (?!?!!!)
  • do anything that makes you feel like you aren’t wasting time.
  • Additionally, restricting your time in bed may promote better sleep in the long run because doing so leads to associating bed with sleep rather than struggling to sleep. It also gets your body on a schedule and creates a need for sleep.

Therefore, get up if you can’t sleep!
