“No” Can Be the Most Positive Thing

Susan Ingebretson refuses to give her clients what they want, which is usually to go back to how they used to be before getting sick.

Susan, “…an author, speaker, and the director of program development for the Fibromyalgia Research and Education Center at California State University, Fullerton” knows a thing or two about fibromyalgia. Advocating for fibromyalgia patients as well as other types of patients is her speciality, and she’s suffered her own battles with chronic illness.

But one thing she won’t do is give into whims about how life used to be before getting sick. She says that going back to that time places people at the starting gate to sickness.
