Now that the holiday season is over, most of us have begun the countdown to spring. It only makes sense…the weather is mostly gloomy and the temps feel cold, so who would want winter to last a long time, especially if you suffer from fibromyalgia?
However, it is important to stay active in the winter, especially if you suffer from fibromyalgia (bet you’ve heard that before!)
All kidding aside, winter often involves the constant shoveling of comfort food down your throat, huddling inside with the television, and weight gain. None of these things will help control fibromyalgia.
Therefore, make the effort to schedule a workout in a heated pool or a workout at the gym. Anything to get you out of the house and moving.
Think of it this way: the more you move, the faster spring arrives—it will be here before you know it, in fact! So keep your energy and health in check for the impending sunshine.
