Electric Stimulation to Control Pain

Chronic pain affects 20-30% of the world’s population. As far as controlling this type of pain, it proves much more difficult than controlling the type of pain related to a cut or bruise.

Researchers are looking at transcutaneous electric nerve stimulation (TENS) once again as a viable way to change brain function related to chronic pain.
