Fibromyalgia Medications

Fibro Daily August 28, 2012

Drugs are a primary treatment source for most fibromyalgia patients. There is no one drug or combination of drugs that can be used for all patients. The drugs used depend on many factors, such as the age and other medical issues of the patient.

The following drugs are commonly used for fibromyalgia patients.

Antidepressants
Anti-anxiety drugs
Muscle relaxers
Painkillers, or analgesics.
Sleep aids

When combined with massage and movement therapies like yoga, drugs can be particularly helpful.
