Study Backs Up What Acupuncture Patients Already Know

Fibro Daily April 25, 2013

Based on numerous personal accounts, acupuncture offers huge pain relief benefits to Fibromyalgia patients as well as other chronic pain patients.

A new study in Rheumatology International validates what these pain patients have been saying for years: acupuncture offers noticeable relief to their pain.

According to Fibro blogger Adrienne Dellwo:

“Researchers gave 60 people with fibromyalgia weekly dry-needling sessions for six weeks. At the end of the study period, the treatment group showed significant improvement when compared to the control group. The symptoms that improved included:

  • Pain
  • Fatigue
  • Pressure pain threshold

At a check up six weeks after the treatment period ended, the dry-needling group still showed significant improvement.”
