In yoga, form and breath are important. However, it’s also important to remember that things like balance change from day to day, especially in yoga. Therefore, one day’s practice may feel as skillful as a tight-rope walking session; the next, as clumsy as a cat on roller skates. Messing up is natural; it’s part of the process. Doing these exercises helps one maintain an inner composure no matter the outer form.

Also, overstraining or pushing too hard defeats the purpose. Breathe from the center of the body so the stomach moves in and out, with closed mouth exhalations.
