In 1925, artist and innovator Frida Kahlo was involved in a serious accident; a bus she was riding on collided with a trolley, causing her devastating injuries.
An iron handrail gutted her abdomen and uterus, destroying her chance to have children. She also suffered:
- a broken collarbone
- a dislocated shoulder
- a broken spinal column
These are just some of her injuries.
It only took mere minutes to cause the pain, but it lasted a lifetime.
” At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can.
- Frida Kahlo
