Vulvodynia is unexplained vulvar pain. The condition results in painful intercourse and other issues for women.

Women with vulvodynia usually suffer from various chronic pain conditions like fibromyalgia, irritable bowel syndrome, and interstitial cystitis (bladder pain).

These chronic pain conditions are known to be underdiagnosed, and a new study is also shedding light on how they may also be related as well.
